Shopping
London’s shopping facilities sit comfortably beside those found in New York and Paris. Its department stores, designer boutiques, high street fashion chains and street markets provide choice to suit all budgets.
The major high street fashion chains, internationally recognised brands and department stores are concentrated in Oxford Street and Regent Street with more up-market boutiques being found in Old and New Bond Streets and Knightsbridge.
The most famous department stores are Harrods and Harvey Nichols (both in Knightsbridge), Selfridges (Oxford Street), Libertys (Regent Street) and Fortnum and Mason (Piccadilly). Others include Debenhams, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer and you can click on the links below for more information.
If you prefer a more individual shopping experience you should try the covered market at Covent Garden or one of the many street markets at:
- Spitalfields
- Billingsgate
- Borough Market
- Portobello Road
- Camden Market
- Bermondsey
- Petticoat Lane/Brick Lane
- Greenwich Market
