Restaurants

London’s restaurants and eateries offer a huge range of world cuisines.  The choice is endless, encompassing fine dining, bistros, “pub grub”, cafes, fast food, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, French, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Eastern European, Australian, South African and Mexican to name but a few.

For the discerning there are around 30 Michelin starred restaurants in the City.  Some of the more fashionable restaurants can be expensive, though, and it’s worth asking for recommendations or checking reviews if you are looking for something special.

In areas populated with a particular culture, it’s not unusual for the restaurants and even supermarkets to reflect the dominant ethnic scene.  The most well known is perhaps Chinatown in Soho, but it's worth exploring the others.

An informative and interesting website to help locate the cuisine of your choice throughout the UK is the Restaurant Guide.com Each restaurant detailed has either been listed in a major guide, is known personally to the author or has been recommended by food writers.

Alternatively ‘The Good Food Guide’ is a recommended publication and can be found at any good book shop or on-line store.
